Only a miracle doctor could perform a 30-second health check on a student at that time.

All 30 classes (960 students) of Nguyen Chanh Secondary School will be tested on October 13, according to the medical inspection notice issued at the beginning of the school year.

The morning exam starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m.

Total exam time is 450 minutes/960 students.

On the afternoon of October 12, a parent asked her mother to have a health check-up the next morning.

This parent said: “I thought the examination was to find out about my child’s illness, so I prepared very carefully. Who would have thought it would be a waste of time not to be examined.”

Similarly, another parent who took his child for a check-up affirmed: “My child was weighed, his height was measured and that’s it. The same goes for other children, it only takes about 5 seconds to weigh, measure and then leave. No bones, no heart, no eyes, no teeth.” has been resolved.

The incident went viral when someone posted it on social media.

A student’s 30-second test has been compared by many social media users to a “miracle doctor” who can diagnose them promptly.

    What does the school say?

To evaluate the health status of many age groups, school health monitoring is carried out according to the Joint Circular of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training dated 13/2016.

According to the above circular, students at Nguyen Chan High School aged 6-18 must have their body indexes (height, weight, BMI) measured.

This is a mandatory regulation in all schools nationwide, to control vision, scoliosis, toothache, mental health disorders… in coordination with parents to find appropriate solutions.

In addition, based on test results, the school uses a learning and training system appropriate to each student’s situation.

Mr. Lu Dinh Bao – Principal of Nguyen Chan High School – affirmed that parents’ complaints about the health check at the beginning of the year were very quick.

According to Mr. Bao, at the beginning of the school year, the industry database is required to enter information about students’ height, weight, eyes, etc.

But he explained that the test only measures height and weight and asks students if their eyesight is good and if their heart is tired.

“Wrong is definitely wrong. When parents see that the exam time is too fast, they think it’s a waste of time, and that’s the truth. This is a lesson for schools to better manage time and organize exams on time. “Next time,” Mr. Bao said.
